User Reviews of His House Thrift Shop

I Like His House!

I first visited His House in 2005. It was at the one located on Meeting Street that I found out this place existed. I had just moved from out of state and I had a big empty house and was working with a very low monthly budget to furnish my house. I later found out that there are several locations in the Greater Columbia area. Today (three years later) my entire house if furnished with beautiful antique and vintage furniture and accessories. Some of the pieces I had to work on to get them to fit my style and look but it was all worth the effort. If I was to calculate how much it has cost me to furnish my house including accessorizing my kitchen, guest quarters, bedrooms, dining room, porch, etc, etc, I am sure it would not be more than $5,000.00 dollars if at all that much. This ministry has been an incredible asset to me and I reccommend it to anyone looking for good stuff on a budget. God bless them all!! One Satisfied Customer

donate elsewhere

I was cleaning out my warehouse from an old business I used to run and decided to donate much of it to thrift. The workers there were rude and acted like they were doing me a favor by taking this stuff (much of it still new). All I expected was some token of gratitude - at least what I get when I buy a $5 burger at McDonalds. Instead, I was made to feel like I was imposing and ruining their day. For me, it is the same distance to the dump. Although I hate to throw away van-loads of items that have value, I refuse to donate at "His House" again. I hope you have better luck.
