Owner Makes Wrong Decision

Last night I ordered the vegetarian sampler at the Atomic Cafe. My salad's lettuce lay limp on the plate with one lonely tomato and a few slices of cucumber. The asparagus was very fresh; however, the mac-n-cheese tasted like bland noodles with chili powder shaken over them. My four fellow diners each took a bite of the mac and cheese and gave it the thumbs down. When the waitress came by, I asked her if I could order a coconut shrimp appetizer. I told her how unhappy I was with my veggie plate and asked if she would charge me for a coconut shrimp dinner instead of the veggie plate because the only food that satisfied me was the shrimp and the asparagus which I would have gotten with another side item had I ordered the coconut shrimp dinner in the first place. Her reply was "I really like the mac and cheese, and you have eaten too much of what is on your plate." My friends explained to her that they had each had a bite which made it look like I had eaten a lot of it. My salad was untouched minus a cherry tomato and a slice of cucumber. The waitress said that she would have to ask the owner. The owner's responded, "No, you are going to have to pay for the veggie plate and the coconut shrimp." My friends were appalled and said, "Wrong answer." I paid the bill and left the server a tip, but my friends and I will not go back to the Atomic Cafe.
