I just came home from a 2 night stay at the Mandalay Bay in Vegas. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: Comfortable Bed IHome to hook up Ipod Good buffet Cons: Front Desk staff rude, discourteous and unhelpful. No housekeeping for the time we stayed there. Casino not exciting to play in. Weekday events sucked. No partying! Hostess at Fleur de lys should know their menu! The Mandalay Bay is a beautiful hotel. The lobby area is exquisite; but the front desk staff really ruined my initial impression. I won this last trip from my work (for working really hard last year) and I was treated like someone who did not even deserve to be at the hotel. For the room rates, I'd recommend Planet Hollywood or the MGM Grand. Better location overall on strip and better service. I will not recommend this hotel to my friends, family or co-workers.
