I went to Celebrations to purchase a prom grown for my daughter. We paid for the dress the alterations . The gown had many layers of fabric. The hem was not only chopped up and uneven, but short on one side so much so that my daughter will now have to wear flat shoes ans not heels. One side is so short that there is almoast no help for it. We are trying to see if we will be able to get away with the damage that was done to the gown. I asked to see the manager. None of the sales people would help me, the seamstress came out and was trying to pin the underslip that was showing well over two inches on one side. I was amazed at the lack of professionalism that was shown by all of the employees at the store, the seamstress was trying to convince my daughter that 8 other dresses left the shop with the exact hem lenght.Her shoes would be showing, the gown would be over 2 inches from the floor on one side. When the manager finally arrived, he began to yell at me and told me there was nothing wrong with the gown. The hem was fine and perfect in his opinion. He did offer to give me a refund,I guess he realized that the dress was damaged almost beyound repair. Why else offer a refund the sales receipt said all sales are final. It was as if someone purposefully destroyed the gown. I will now have to have it repaired by a professional. The manager was rude and needs some lessons in customer service.

My daughter-in-law to be purchased a wedding dress off Celebrations sale rack from $1,000 to "sale" price of $600. They altered the soiled dress and returned it to her soiled. I called the store and supposedly spoke to the male owner and NO OFFER to clean the soiled dress as she got a GREAT deal. They have lost my business with my four pre-teen & teenage daughters!!! How can you sell a dirty wedding dress for $600? I have called other bridal shops in town and their policy is to provide a clean dress, sell or not AND altered or not!
