Two stars because although I didn't enjoy my experience there, I did enjoy the ice cream.I went on a Sunday afternoon after a ride on the ferry from Edmonds. Shared a mint chocolate chip ice cream...

Right on the approach to the ferry. We were parked across the street; neither of us wanted to say farewell, just yet, as the conversation still had to undergo any sort of denouement. We were both...

The short version is I commute on the Kingston/Edmonds ferry and over the 1.5 years I've done so, I've (tried to) eat[en] at the Galley three times. All three attempts have been some of the worst...

I'll echo the first review for this place and say that it's kind of like a DQ. The DQ part is up front with the ice cream and soda shop tables and chairs. The back part is the bar. There are a...

Drifters Galley is a benevolent hunter that primarily preys on the captive audience of Kingston-Edmonds ferry passengers. When we were in just that situation in dehydrating heat after a long day of...

When waiting for the ferry, stop in here. Seriously....it's a 2 minute walk from your car, 10-15 mins to down a pint, 2 mins to pay, and 2 mins to walk back to your car. If I'm not mistaken, if you...

A visit to the coffee shop side of this establishment was so surreal that we are still in disbelief the day after. With crepe in hand (purchased across the street), we entered the coffee shop side to buy 2 lattes. While my friend paid a call to the WC, an angry young man kicked me out because, he said, of the crepe I was holding. I told him no problem, we'll buy our coffee somewhere else and compliantly exited the shop. When my friend returned from the restroom to order her coffee, I called her outside and explained that the "manager" didn't want outside food brought in, which is certainly understandable, although not indicated anywhere at the entrance (since this seems to be a reoccurring issue). As we were walking away, he came outside after us, extremely agitated, and began interrogating us drill sergeant style with questions like: "Did you ask to use the restroom across the street? Why didn't you buy your coffee at the crepe place?" I had originally been led to believe that the crepe was the culprit, but it appears that the restroom is another. In any case, one lesson was learned yesterday: if you're only buying coffee at Drifters, do not use the restroom!

Drifter's has the best Halibut and Chips in Kingston, if not the whole North Kitsap. Furthermore, it's great for burgers and beers. The fresh cut home-style french fries, soaked in grease leave a...
