Unfortunately my father passed very unexpectedly without pre-arranged plans. We called Sheil the day of his death-New Years Day. For being a holiday, that went as well as expected. It was when planning time came. The $10,000 package is pretty much forced on you. The day of the funeral, no music during the visitation-as promised. The sound system was HORRIBLE and you could not even understand the music. Then the lack of traditional Catholic funeral songs. A LONG LIST of possibilities was provided-two played. They changed the music during the service without telling us even though you could not understand most of it. Then at the cemetery, dad gets locked in the car without an extra key or plan-20 plus minutes in the cold wind, we are offered the chance to finish the funeral and leave with dad still in the car and they would just move him-no chance, we waited. Then the memorial CD arrives. Blurry photos, some notes unreadable-then it gets to the end-"prepared in loving memory for (someone other than dad)"! Upon returning the CD, the director was too busy on the phone to take 2 minutes to see me; the girl who took the CD back immediately presents excuses. When stopped and told how the whole thing has gone, she shrugs her shoulders as if not to care. Thanks Sheil for making a bad time a little worse. By the way they make it sound as if they handle everything-you have to have a plot before panning they can't help with that.
