Christmas photos

I usually have great things to say about this pet store but tonight was unaccepatable. I took my dogs to Windward mall to have thier photos taken with Santa. There was a very large line. As I was standing in line one of my dogs went to the bathroom as I bent over to clean it up ( I carry dog waste bags) The lady in front of me decided that she was the "pet police" and told me I needed to take my dogs home as she felt that they were not trained and that we were disturbing the whole line ( I went late as I thought the line would be shorter) I explained to her that my pets were trained and that I am sorry if my one acted out while I was cleaning up the waste. She was so rude. I decided to leave as I could not find any one from Koolau Pets there supervising. As I got home I called to see if there was another time and the clerk was so RUDE she would not even let me finish my sentance and then cut me off and put me on hold. I am so frustrated with thier customer service it will be a while before I shop there again or refer anyone to them.

personally

I go to windward mall regularly and I have talked to the employees of Koolau. They were knowledgeable and helpfull. They do tend to just ignore new customers. But, if your a returning customer they tend to take really good care of you.

Pretty wide selection...they had a pig for sale!

I went here just last week (March 2008) as I walked around Windward Mall. They have a great and wide selection of pets and pet supplies for all kinds of animals. They even had a baby pot-bellied pig for sale!...

worst service ever

I went in to buy some fish. First I waited for about twenty minutes, looking around at fish until I figured out noone would help me. Then I walked up and ask a couple of workers that were standing at the counter. One told the other, Stephanie, to help me, she said "to bad I am on break" and walked off. About five minutes later, I guess after her break, she came by to help me. I wanted some angle fish, so I pointed to the one I wanted, and while getting it out she dropped it on the floor. She had a really hard time picking it up, then she put it back into the tank. She wanted to know if I still wanted it. I told her I did not want a fish that was going to die. She obviosly does not care about the fish in her store. I bought over $35 in fish and noone even cared that I was in the store. I even said something to an employee and she just looked at me. Why would I want to shop in a store where they do not care about there animals or the customer. I would not go back to this store.

For all your pet and pet supply needs

This store at the Windward Mall has a big selection of freshwater fish as well as family pets such as kittens, puppies, and birds and sometimes other small animals. They also carry foods and supplies...

Your neighborhood pet store

Ko'olau Pets has been a mainstay in the Windward Mall for as long as I can remember. They've grown considerably over the years, now taking over a substantial corner of the mall by the movie theaters....
