We went over to Bamiyan for dinner yesterday and was shocked to find the restaurant absolutely empty. Having been informed that the food was really good I was expecting to find it hard to reserve a table. The only waiter there was on his cell phone, and refused to acknowledge us till he was done chatting. He handed us the menu and went onto another call with more friends of his. After about 15 minutes he came to take the order. HE offered no help or suggestions while we attempted to identify the various options we had. While waiting for the food the cleaner decided to begin cleaning the bathrooms and there was a strong smell of clorine that filled the restaurant. Finally the waiter served us our food, and you will not believe it, with the cell phone in one hand and dishes in other. He continued his conversations while serving us. The Apetizer was expensive and had no taste. It was literally yogert mixed in bread. When food was served ... and the waiter STILL on his phone, the vegetarian 'Tarkari' was like boiled vegetables and a slice of bread for $12. It was horrible. Our bill came to $40 and we were definitely not satisfied. The food was too expensive and quality was terrible. We asked for water, but the waiter was too involved in his conversation that he forgot to serve us water. Please tink twice before going to this place. There are other options like Kabul, etc.
