Great old Charlotte restaurant. As a native this place is a must. The place seems like a hole-in-the-wall but that is what makes it so charming. Good cheap food.

Fun, Funky and Fantastic!

If you enjoy something totally out of the ordinary, the Lupies Cafe is the place to go. This fun and funky place is run by the daughter of the "original" Lupie who oversees the Lupies Cafe in Charlotte, which has been loved by locals for years. Much of what makes the original Lupies a hit--the food, the unique atmosphere and the staff can all be found here in the Huntersville location (although the atmosphere is just a tad less funky than the original.) Nightly specials including quiche and the famous chicken and dumplings are worth the drive. They ar well known for their burgers and chili as well. Family friendly (although there is not a specific kids menu...), my kids are happy with the hot dog platters. Top that off with some loaded nachos and you'll waddle out of the restaurant completely satisfied.

A tough, greasy lunch!

A group of my coworkers had lunch here. One girl had chili, and it was absolutely swimming in grease. She ate maybe four spoonfuls because she was afraid it would upset her stomach. It looked like the Hormel...

Lupies is a fun, laid-back, old-timey cafe that serves good home-cooking at reasonable prices. Service is good but the cafe is quite busy at lunch time..so go early or plan to wait for a table.

Great local place.

Great sandwiches and nightly specials at a great price. Vegetarian options are an added bonus. The place is fun and the wait staff is attentive.
