Not fair

I had a tech come check the furnace and air for the season a couple of weeks ago. I had not turned on the furnace since the check-up because of a little cold spell last week and it did not work. Now I'm paying almost $500 for a repair. I seriously think the tech broke it by accident and that J&B should be willing to cover some of thaat $500 in goodwill. I have been acustomer for many years but this has shaken my faith in them. Also the tech was rude to the person at my home that they dealt with.

Response to complaint

We pride ourselves in our service and craftsmanship. I don't know exactly which customer had a problem but if you would call the office we would be more than happy to make things right. We don't have a record of any complaints or problems around the time of your filing.

Prompt Service

I called them and they came out within a couple hours. It's below zero and I was really glad to see him. Within 15 min had my furnace up and running. would definiteyl use again.

Poor service

My furnace would not fire. I called J & B Heating. Service technician only stayed 10 minutes, said he found nothing, charged for service. Based on furnace's symptoms, I asked if burner might need cleaning. He responded, that's for the young people; he doesn't do that. Ten minutes after he left, my furnace would not start. I called him again. He said he'd have to charge emergency rates if I wanted him to come back, as he was halfway home. Called J & B next morning to complain. Was told technician should have come back with no extra charge and he should have looked at burner to give some value for the amount charged. However, they made no accommodation or even a partial refund. Just said they'd make a note of it. Would never use this company again.
