sexy bob cut.

Alex cut my hair into a short bob about 3 months ago and I met a guy at a party that night who said "damn you have great hair" and the night went uphill from there. cutest cut ever. i'll never have long hair again. alex is a hair maestro.

Mixed review

I went to Alex's Beauty Bar two years ago after receiving a terrible haircut from another salon. They did a great job fixing it without cutting off too much length, however it was a little out of my price range. I decided to go there again recently and was able to get an appointment the next day. However, when I showed up I found the place completely closed. I know that they did not forget about me because they had called earlier that day after they had a cancellation and wanted to see if i wanted to move up my appointment. I didn't get their message until too late (they only called 15 minutes before the new time) so I figure I would just go to my original appointment. Apparently they interpreted that as a cancellation and decided to close early. They didn't mention this in their message. I am very upset because I needed this haircut before taking a portrait. I am hoping they will own up for this mistake.

great fixers

I got my hair cut when i went home because it was cheap only $40....the lady hacked it... So i came back to IV and went to Alex's and found a hair cut there was only $45!! Andrew fixed my hair for me at a great deal and took me right away. They are very accommodating there and the atmosphere is modern and new.

Two Thumbs Up!!

i recently visited alex's beauty bar and i was a little bit nervous at first. i wanted a change but didn't want to commit to something to drastic. being that this was my first time going to a salon in iv i was a bit uneasy. as soon as i walked in the door i was greeted with a warm smile and a friendly hello. after talking to my stylist we agreed on an allover color because of the change in the season. after about 45 minutes of stories and laughs it was time to wash out the color. i was nervous at first when i came back to his chair and my hair looked sooooo dark! but as i expected everything turned out to be just what i wanted and needed. thanks alex's beaty bar, i will most definitely be coming back!

Only place I'll go to from now on

Anyone who is interested in trying Alex's Beauty Bar will be in for a treat. They take great care of my hair and I am always happy with the results. I get my hair trimmed, styled, and dyed and now Alex's will have my business from now on. I'm not sure what the next review is talking about because the employees at Alex's have always put my wants first and not charged a lot for what I'm looking for. Go there! You won't regret it!

Best place in SB!

So, I was really hesitant to get my hair done anywhere but my salon at home, especially in IV, but Alex's Beauty Bar was a pleasant surprise. I went in with dry frazzled blonde locks with horrid inch long roots and Andrew worked with Alex to pick a nice dark mahogany brown that complimented my skintone perfectly just in time for ASVT last year. Since then I've been hooked- Andrew recently gave me a signature bob that I've received soooo many comments on! I even bring my boyfriend in when he's in town. Definitely give them a try, you won't be dissapointed!

happy customer

i have been going to Alex's beauty bar for over a year now and every time i go, i always get treated with the best customer service. every one that works there is so personable and welcoming where it makes me really happy to go back. i love being a client of andrews because he knows exactly how to work with my type of hair. i have recommended this salon to a lot of my friends because i love the atmosphere and how great of a job they do. hair is a very scary thing to get messed with but i always feel confident that im going to leave satisfied!

Didn't Listen

I went in not exactly sure what I want but I was absolutely loud and clear about my bangs because they only work a certain way. Alex didn't cut my hair but Adam or something did. He told me he wasn't going to dye my hair but just shine it, and the next thing i know he's going at my hair with a bunch of dye, WITH shining stuff on it which cost a lot extra. I told him I wanted short bangs and he told me he thought it would look better with long ones, but I told him to make them short. He didn't listen and kept them long. The trip ended up cotsing me $155. Also, they told me that if I referred someone I would get a free haircut, I referred someone and then called and they told me I needed to refer three people. Blatant mis communication. I had to go get my bangs cut somewhere else. I'm never going back and will never ever refer it to anyone else. These people are snobby and don't care what you want, just what they think is best.
