Very rude! Theives, Overdraft Fee is Crazy. They do not protect you from merchants and can not dispute charge

I used my card to buy a product for $300.00. I had $600.00 in my account. The merchant ran the charge through twice by mistake which gave me two pending charges of $300.00 each. With all of my other purchases...

Waste your time elsewhere

I started an acct. with BA about a week ago. I got free checking savings and a paper shredder that broke the third time I used it. On the surface it appears to be a good deal-free everything(plus a paper shrredder!) After another week, I deposited a check, not sure about their hold policy, so before withdrawing money from the ATM, I checked my balance, and also the history page on the internet. According to these two sources, the money was there. Fast forward a couple days, I have three overdraft fees (one for the 1.50 they charged for CHECKING MY ACCOUNT BALANCE!!!) There was in fact a hold, but it does not show up on other branches ATMs or certain pages on my internet account. It would appear they hold checks for two days for the expressed purpose of gaining overdraft fees. (it IS NOT to wait until the check clears, you can withdraw the money from an atm minutes after you deposit while it is "on hold) While legal, this practice does not hold water ethically. I am from Pa., and should this bank open a branch in that area, I would give them a month before closing, simply because people will not tolerate this type of attitude towards them. So if you want hidden fees, (i cant wait to see what else they have in store. Check that, I am going to have my pay elec. deposited to my Pa bank), a free paper shredder for opening an account(it will last at least a week!), and constantly unavailable customer service, go with Bank Atlantic!!
