Yum, good sandwiches and cute atmosphere. Wish I'd known--I would have tried the cheesesteak. Had the italian instead and it was delicious. They use good bread.

The forksville general store is such a great place to go. I have a cabin in the area and come up as often as I can and make sure to stop in to grab a bite to eat because the food is so good. The owner is from Philly and he and his family know how to make a cheesesteak for sure! They also have good breakfasts and I've been to the show twice already and can't wait to take some more friends along. Big Mike turns into "saxdaddy" on saturday nights who performs sinatra tunes along with the 4-tops and tom jones you name it he's done it! He is mainly known for his ability to play the saxophone like a monster and I can't tell you enough how much fun it is to see live.

I cannot get over how awesome this place is! We were driving up in the Endless Mountains of PA and happened to cross over a covered bridge and stumble onto this quaint General Store which actually has a restaurant inside. Beautiful atmostphere mixed with great service and delicious home cooked meals makes this my favorite find ever! The owner is this big italian guy from Philadelphia and he makes you feel like family as soon as you enter. In fact, his family all work the place and one of his daughters was our waitress who happened to be very friendly and informative. Definitly worth a trip back especially because I found out that they have live entertainment dinner shows on the weekends which sounds like fun! Great place!

Cool little joint. The owner is actually from Philadelphia, not New York. They have excellent philly cheesesteaks. Both wiz or cheddar. Wit or witout onions. The real deal. Best lunch in...
