We've been going to the Brown Cow every Monday morning at 10am for the past 2 years. They have a professsional story teller from Chicago come named Tracey Ellert. She's amazing and the kids LOVE her. The ice cream is great and IS homemade...or made especially for the Brown Cow. The atmosphere is great - the owners are almost always there and always eager to please. It's locally owned and operated and you can't help but love that. Go check 'em out yourself!

this place is the real deal! 10 of its 20 flavors are homemade, and it is run by a very warm, welcoming young couple. The best chocolate peanut butter ice cream in the world! The staff is very accomodating and have been willing to go the extra mile, great quality product and a genuine old fashioned parlor atmosphere. It beats any chain nearby by a landslide! I promise you won't be disappointed. I suggest going during the day or after 9pm, because the lines are long between 7 and 10pm. For good reason!
