User Reviews of John M. Willis

My kids love the "Nemo Dentist"

I found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. My daughter has a disability that makes communication difficult for her. All of the staff have gone above and beyond to make sure that she is comfortable. My son is very active. His hygentist called him "energetic" and displayed a pleasant attitude in keeping him engaged in his dental appointment. Dr. Willis's check ins with the kids were brief, but informative and very positive. It is obvious to me that he enjoys his job and likes children. My kids call him the "Nemo Dentist" because he has a fish tank with fish resembling the characters from the Disney Movie "Nemo". Very fun office.

pediatric dentist

I did not appreciate his mannerism he and his staff seemed cold, there was no real introduction from the physician to my 4 year old other than a quick handshake. This is the physician who would be sedating and filling my child's first cavity at the next appointment. The nurses did not smile or seem very interested in the children that were in the office. The physician said to me after only a brief 10 minutes in his office that I needed to understand that when my child returned to have his procedure he needed to understand that he had to "obey him and behave" that made me wonder how my child would be treated if he became upset while sedated alone in a room with him (parents are not allowed in the room either). I had a very uneasy feeling while in his office and so did my child and this is a child that enjoys trips to the doctors. I do not believe this is the best place to send a child if you are expecting a warm and comforting feeling. Children are easily upset and I do not feel there would be any attempt to comfort them if this was the case. This is my personal opinion but I feel I am a good judge of character and so is my son. I apologize if this upsetting to anyone but I am my childs advocate and feel this is an important thing to share.
