I like EFP but not the treatment I received when going to the walk in recently from my home inWhitney Point. I'd seen the add on TV numerous times, so when I had a need and could not get in to my own physician, I traveled from Whitney Point, feeling very ill. I got there and was told, in not a compassionate way, that you do not take medicare patients. I said to the receptionist that nothing is said about that in your TV ads. She waved her hand around the room and said, "Well, it's posted here someplace." I told her that didn't do me any good living in Whitney Point. She kind of screwed up her face and turned away. I left. I am very disappointed that this happened. I feel strongly that your office is not advertising truthfully and this should be made clear to the public. I was a patient of Dr. Bowling for many years until we moved away. Upon returning he again took care of us. When my husband retired from industry and we lost Blue X and had to use our military retirement ins., the business did not accept that insurance and we had to find another doctor. I was one of Dr. Bowling's very first patients when he went into practice in Whitney Point and I shall always admire him. I wonder how many people come in to find out what I found out. It was pretty traumatic and I go to a UHS doctor and was told that if I could not get in to see him, to go to End. I thought they met your walk-in. Very unfortunate. Charlotte Sherman
