My baby went here and we found the staff to be nice. The place was a little stinky and I didn't witness any supervised play, as mentioned on their web site. I don't want to say anything bad about this...

I would NEVER recommend Howie's Doggie Daycare to anyone who cares about their dog. My dog was staying overnight and developed "bloat" aka "gastric torsion," a life-threatening condition that requires immediate care. A dog can bloat and die in 30 minutes, though each case is different. The girl on duty saw my dog in distress. She DIDN'T CONTACT ANYONE until another employee came to work at two o'clock that afternoon. The girl on duty told him my dog had been throwing up spit ALL MORNING. They called the owner, Tony. He told them to call my sister-in-law. She was told to come get my dog because he was bloating. Alarmed, she said they needed to take him to a hospital immediately. My sister-in-law was 20 or 30 minutes away. The girl told her in a very unsympathetic tone "No, you come and get him." My dog had surgery and was in the hospital for more than two weeks. He had a very rough time, but did recover. Tony called my sister-in-law twice to ask about my dog. Tony NEVER called me and he never wrote to me. I have not heard from him at all. As the vet told me at the hospital, given the many hours my dog was in distress with no care, I'm very, very lucky my dog is alive.
