Try it - you'll love it!

Be selective about spa procedures ordered

My Mom and I have visited the salon yesterday. We liked the atmosphere and its decorative design. There is a hair salon downstairs & the spa upstairs. We both had minifacials, which we loved. We've also ordered express pedicure ($35, comes with any salon procedure) and express manicure ($25, again comes with any salon procedure). They were both a complete waste of time & money. Apparently "express" means only polishing & filing nails, NOT soaking one's hands/feet in water, massaging, & applying nail polish. Nail polish was an option for extra $10. Are you kidding me? I could get a complete pedicure or manicure done at one of the Vietnamese nail salons for $25 or less. We've wasted $50, otherwise we were satisfied with spa procedures.

Overpriced and rude staff

Style over substance

I really wanted to like this place. I don't have extremely high expectations. I went back several times and often got the same result -a cold reception and a so-so cut. Plus it IS too expensive for a guy's cut -and by the staff's own admission I was referred to the "girl that does guycuts". WTF? Too many other options out there to be disrespected by the self-referential staff. Note to reception: if you say you will 'call right back' then do so and not after 35 minutes. You failed to live up to the hype on your 'on-hold' recording! Why do you think I won't ever go back? Get a CLUE!

My favorite salon

I have been going to Moda for six years now and I can't find myself to try any other salon! I love my hair and get compliments everywhere I go. Katie knows my hair and always has something creative for me to try. My wax is always done well. My facials are amazing. I love the staff and they treat me like family! I am proud to say that I am a Moda Girl! I would highly recommend Moda for any of their services. They listen to what you want, ask questions, and utilize they're skills to give you great results... I am currnetly a stylist at Moda and have to defend a review posted by the "husband" of an ex employee. Our owners are the most kind hearted loving people you could work for. As a salon we raised close to thirty thousand dollars for this ex employee ten thousand of which came out of our owners own pockets. We all sacraficed and gave for this employee so that she could not only stay home with her daughter but so her and her "husband" could get their daughter out of foster care and back home with the two of them after CPS removed her from their home. We all hope nothing but the best for their family, we are not in any way turned against them, we are saddened to see that after all our hard work to get their daughter back they are not stepping up to provide a strong and healthy household for her to be raised in. However our support and prayers still go out to them daily and our owners are strong and generous and wonderful people, i feel privledged to work at such a wonderful place
