Warning about La Scala Ristorante: Please Read!

My fiance and I made New Year's Eve reservations at La Scala. While the food and service met our expectations, we were alarmed to find that our credit card had been charged for more money than we had indicated we were paying for the meal and tip. Unfortunately, this was not a simple error, as we were told by the managerial staff that this problem has occured before, and it would take days, if not weeks, to correct. We were shocked, to say the least, that this well-reputed establishment would be so careless and callous with respect to our needs. As the customer, I feel inclined to believe that theft should not be taken lightly, and excuses should not be made for this criminal activity. I will NEVER eat at this establishment again, and I would never recommend it to anyone, or wish this kind of blatant disregard for customer satisfaction on any diner.

this place is busy friday/saturday nights, usually with live band at bar and crowd of all ages...service especially at bar is excellent...food is well prepared...make reservation
