Long Time Customer

My family has shopped and had repair services from Milkes since 1983 and have always been very pleased. The staff are knowledgeable and very nice. They always do every job to perfection. My father who lives 150 miles away had them design a necklace for my mother last Christmas and we were all amazed at the beautiful creation. Can't recommend any jeweler higher.

A Lot of Hype and not true to their word...

I had the opportunity to sell my old gold pieces and also make a purchase to upgrade my wedding ring. I was pleased with the customer service from the sales person but when working out the deal for the gold and the new purchase I got the impression that I was dealing with the wizard behind the curtain. Not once did Mr. Milke make an apperance from the back. This was quite surprising. You would think with the amount of the gold that I was 'selling' and the purchase that I was going to make he would at least stick his head out and say hello, thank you for your business or something along those lines. I guess that kind of customer service doesn't exist for Mr. Milke. Apparently, meeting deadlines and holding promises isn't part of the company credo...they cannot seem to keep track of repair items, do not do very good repair work on broken items and do not stock basic mountings for all sizes of loose stones. I don't know when I will see my new ring although they were happy to take payment for it before they would do the work, like I would not come back to pick up the ring with the diamond that I provided... Disgruntled..

great service but a little confusion...

The service at Milkes is very friendly. Uniqueness makes their items stand out. However, advertised discount was not offered on $300 diamond earrings that I bought which were clearly marked as discount items. I asked and was given a flimsy answer-didn't push the issue-maybe should have. A bit dissatisfied about that one...
