Cranbury Inn by Mary K. at InsiderPages

I've been to Cranbury Inn for lunch a few times. The atmosphere is very conducive to conversation and the food is great. If you're looking for a non-chain dining experience I recommend it.

Skip It

Very poor service. Our waitress was rude and was quite a snob. The host who seated us had zero personality as well. The food was very good, however.

Expensive - Will never go back !!

We had a lunch reservation. The service was slow and terrible. I asked the waiter for a menu and was told someone else would bring it! Our orders were mixed up or totally wrong. The ambiance is good, but you can't eat that. When I asked for my check and handed over my credit card I had to wait almost 30 minutes for the credit card receipt, and saw that I was overcharged. I asked for a credit to the account and new charge be prepared. I was later told original had been credited and I signed the new charge. This took over a half hour again. I was told that they recently became computerized and the waiter was unfamiliar with the system, which is really not my problem. When my credit card statement arrived, not only did the original incorrect charge appear (for a larger amount yet) which was supposed to be credited, but also the second charge appeared. I phoned Cranbury Inn FOUR times and was assured the owner's wife would call me back, but she never did. After another 2 weeks I called my Credit Card Company, who gave me the credit and would report the dispute to the Cranbury Inn. I feel I gave them ample opportunity to correct this and apologize, so I will tell all my friends and neighbors of my bad experience. The lunch took place in May and so far in August I have not received any kind of apology. So if you go, examine your check and make sure it is fully detailed.

Good food by Meghan H. at InsiderPages

I have always experienced friendly, efficient service at the Cranbury Inn, and have even found that they are willing to give out candy on Halloween. The servers are always enthusiastic and the food is great.

This is a good place to go for lunch if you work in the area. They have specials that are pretty cheap. The food is always good, but the service sometimes lacks if the place is busy. Another option...
