I've been to Cafe Portobello many times for lunch and a few times for dinner and I've never been disappointed. It was the place I chose for my birthday celebration last year, and they accommodated our party of 12 without a hitch. Service is always excellent, as is their food. They have the best fried calamari I've been able to find and their tiramisu is perfect. What makes the experience complete for me is that it's not a noisy place. Sometimes I want a peaceful atmosphere to enjoy a quiet delicious meal, and you can definitely get that there, which makes it a great romantic place for a date.
