Silvercryst Supper Club. Overlooking Beautiful Silver Lake.

Have been going here for years and it's been great. The last two times for lunch buffet,it's gone totally down hill! 1. Buffet items were barley warm. 2. Buffet plates were cold due to the temperature in the place, must have been 60 degrees, our server even complained how cold it was! By the time you've plated up the luke warm food on the cold plate and walked back to your table the food was ice cold. 3. It seems Sanjay is using a different kind of rice, not what I'm used to. It used to be a whiter basmati rice with cardamom pods, cloves and saffron, wonderful aroma and taste! Not any more. 4. The curry gravies were thin and runny, not thick and rich like I remember. 5. My wife had a bite of goat meat curry with an odd flavor that turned her off from eating anymore of her meal and any more indian food for long time she said. I still believe ordering off the menu can be good, that's when I've had some of the the best indian food here. Sadly I will now have to go elsewhere for a good buffet, possibly up the road to Nalapak.

This is a place that has wonderful flavors in all their food and goes unnoticed far too often because of continuous road construction on Central Avenue. It is easy to miss, but well worth the stop!
