Patch a tire...

There was a time when I used to take all my cars to Kimbles for repairs as their repair charges seemed reasonable when compared to the dealer. Over time I've seen this change. I know times are hard for everyone, but now it seems they're just out to gouge the customer for everything they can get. Over the past few years I've taken my vehicles to Kimbles for an estimate which usually ends up with me leaving and going elsewhere. Just recently, I thought I'd stop in and have a tire patched. There was a small nail in the tire and the tire was loosing pressure over time. They quote me $50 plus tax & "shop supplies". What a rip-off. Anyone who's done this before knows you can buy the patch at any auto store for about $5. Anyway, I left and went to another shop a few blocks away and had the tire patched for $15. If Kimbles charges $35 more than a competitor for a simple tire patch...makes you wonder what else they're gouging customers on.
