Mark DeSylvia age fifteen was to have a heart tranpslant. Dr. Cobanoglu, despite signed releases to the contrary, invited a television crew in. He was busy with the media. He cut into Mark's chest, spread his ribs, severed the blood vessels and proceeded to remove the heart before he realized Mark was blood type B and the heart was not. Mark died of surgical sepsis, not his disease. This was the second time Dr. Cobanoglu had surgically removed a heart prior to checking the blood type. There are only two such errors since the organ data base went into effect. Two are Dr. Coganoglu's. Once is a mistake, twice is gross negligence.
