User Reviews of Grums Sub Shop

New ownership, lower standards

I used to buy delicious sandwiches at least once a week from Grum's, a mainstay of Coventry Road. Everything was of consistently high quality. A new owner bought the place and is trying to pass it off as the same Grum's. It isn't. The quality and cleanliness standards have plummeted. Last time I visited, there was a HAIR in my sub (!), and the sub was prepared with globs of excess mayonnaise. The new staff spends more time flirting with customers than getting your order right. I mourn the demise of a once-great sub shop. Sic transit gloria submarine.

5.0 of 5 stars. The sandwiches here are good as hell. I really don't know what there is to complain about. I don't see what the big deal is about not being able to sit down and eat. Take Noreaga's first album for...

Good Sandwiches

Good sandwiches in a fun area to hang out. I suggest that if it's nice out, you take your subs to go and hang out in the community area on the corner.

The food here is great! It is in a nice location and has a great atmosphere for dining. This is a sub shop, not a sit down restaurant although you can sit there to eat. The prices are good and I even have...

Yelp.com Review - by Thomas Awesome G.

3.0 of 5 stars. I loved the "Black Forest" hot sandwich (I got it with a whole dill pickle). Deee-licious. The wife got a Sea-Grum's sandwich, which was also tasty-good. Why only 3 stars, then? Like some of the other...

Grums – my favorite turkey sub but pricey!

When I was a student at Case, I used to love to head up to Coventry for a Grum's turkey sub. Whatever seasonings they use made it such a delicious sub! I sometimes would get the chili too which was ...

4.0 of 5 stars. The sandwiches here are pretty good. They are not afraid to load you up with cheese and sauce on the meatball sub, or tons of slices of meat on the cold cut style sandwiches. These things are huge,...

Giant, good subs

Grum's whole subs weigh something like two pounds. That alone is remarkable, but it should also be noted that they're really good. Although very simply constructed (meat, cheese, lettuce, mayo, and ...
