I'm afraid I have to agree with the other comment. The staff is generally unfriendly and self absorbed. They barely acknowledge a person. I was fortunately able to find my book on my own, but overall having just moved here from Chicago, I would have to rate this library low. Prime example of people who are too comfortable in the position and fee that they cannot be replaced. If the town took more of an interest they would do something about it.

This is one of the worst library because of two reasons. number one their staff! they look like they are doing you a personal favor just talking to you. When they feel like talking to a customer instead of each other. (the younger ones) and the older personel never crack a smile they make you feel like you are an inconvinience to them. Looks like they are all tired from their jobs please replace them with people who care...and 2) half the time there are no books! Half of the shelves seem empty, to ask for help its nearly imposible half of the people don't know what they are doing.. unfortunately I live in Cicero but I go out of my way to go to the next town Berwyn. to get my books They should take a lesson from these wonderful people(the staff of Berwyn) always polite, helpful and they know their stuff. If I could I would sell my house and move to Berwyn. The only time I go to Cicero its when its time to renew my card.

Nice library. Good place to go to study. I would not reccomend it for books though. It seems to never have the books I need, or else everything is checked out.
