My wife and I boarded our healthy, amiable dog at Urban Out Sitters for one week while we took a vacation. We were reluctant to use a boarding service but were persuaded by a good reviews in Chicago Magazine, and by the fact that our dog, who loves to socialize, would be allowed to play with other dogs for most of each day. The cost was in excess of $300. On our return, we found that our dog was coughing, had lost a significant amount of weight, and was noticeably lethargic. On the day after our return, our vet diagnosed girrardia and kennel cough. We will not use Urban Out Sitters again. Our dog's rather sudden and obvious health issues went completely unnoticed by the staff.
