Extremely bad service ...

I was on a short trip to Atlanta and craved Indian food. I looked around and Himalayas had pretty high ratings. When I reached there, the staff ignored me for a while finally one guy told me to to sit down. I gave an order and waited for an hour. After about 30 minutes, I felt that the restaurant did offer great service to their "white" customers. I asked for water which I felt used to be the first thing restuarant offer. The manager told me to pick up the bags (to go). I appreciated when he dumped that food in plates with cold bread. I ate one and then asked for a hot one. They actually offered a hot bread. I paid $20 for a very mediocre food and poor service. I wanted to pay the waiter more than $1.50 in tip but then I thought that might send a wrong message. If you are planning to go there please so a litmus test. You shouldn't look like an indian. They do seem to take good care of white folk. Good Luck !!!

Very bad Service and mediocre food...

I was in Atlanta for a short trip and went to Himalyas Restaurant. I think I cannot help but writing my experience. When I went there, I stood in the door for a while. The waiter asked me if I needed something and I told him that I am here for food. He pointed me to sit. I placed an order and requested that no matter the bread should be hot. After 30 minutes, I realized that I wasn't offered anything to drink so I requested the waiter. I realized that the restaurant did offer reasonable service to a white gathering. After 55 minutes, I asked if the food was ready. The manager said it's been ready and waiting for you to pick up(in a bag). I told him that I am visiting this city and would like to eat in the restaurant not in my car. He showed gratitude and dumped the food in plates. The bread was cold. I ate one and requested for a hot one. They brought a very hot one right before I was all full. I paid $20 for the food and exited. I wanted to pay more than $1.50 to the waiter just as a principal but then I thought that might give them a wrong idea. I sincerely think they need to have basic training in restaurant manners as well as human equality. I saw them more than humble with white guys and just because I looked indian (which I am not), they decided to treat me bad. I am surprised they can run a business like this.
