I found Dr Biber to be condescending and close-minded. Although he did have a long discussion with me (my situation is complex), I was frequently cut-off. When my symptoms did not fit neatly in a box, he said he would prescribe a heavy sedative and see me in a month although I "did not appear to be anxious." He claimed to have treated people with random symptoms in the past with this and had success. Not only did he provide details of the 2 clients (which I'm pretty sure is a HIPAA violation), they both were nothing like my past (his examples both included pasts of heavy abuse). After getting another opinion, and receiving an accurate diagnosis, I shudder to think what would have happened if I had blindly accepted his desire to wrongly medicate me. Dr Biber made comments such as, "It's patients like you that drive up the avg cost per person of health care in this country." To this I responded, "Trust me, I'd rather not have had all these tests- I have a great life and would just like ot get back to living it." And, after telling him I had experienced ~20lb weight loss, he said "Well, you look normal to me." It disappoints me to think that people without the confidence to challenge Dr Biber, and the financial resources to seek an alternate opinion, are being subjected to this unacceptable behavior in someone who is supposed to bring comfort, relief and support.

He does not care- never reads patient files before a visit, frequently is late for appointments (as much as an hour) and talks right over his patients, all the while complimenting himself on what a great doctor he is. He'll ask you every time you walk through the door, "who are you again" "why are you here" and "what drugs have I put you on?"- he has no clue. Plan on doing all of the work yourself; he won't keep a record of your medication or your treatment plan, he won't remember what he's tried so far, and he won't be concerned if you are not getting better.
