The Discovery Creek Children's Museum is really a wonderful place. There is an admission fee, but it is worthwhile if you can stay an hour or two. We highly recommend it!

An inexpensive diversion. Renovations to this old-fashioned amusement park are underway. Great merry-go-round, playground, and gelato. Arts classes and Discovery Creek Children's museum are terrific.

Glen Echo's playground is pretty much average, but what is around it is great. There is a newly redone beautiful carousel that is only 50 cents a ride. They have the puppet theatre and even concession stands...

Terrific playground and the stunning Denzel Carousel that has recently been restored. Huge picnic area and also home to a puppet company and Adventure Theater. GO!
