My wife & I requested to hold a 9 month old kitten & were immediately requested to fill out a adoption form which is odd because we did not mention at all the we wanted to adopt the kitten we just wanted to hold her. So I fill that form out but I did not have my landlord's phone # since I am renting a apartment. We were then sternly told we could not hold the kitten because were were missing the # & that they were closing soon. Honestly I'm speechless on how poorly my wife & I were treated. We got to the shelter 30 mins before closing yet we had to spend most of that time filling out paper work & soon find out that was a complete waste. I don't understand what we did so wrong. Yes I understand we need to provide proof that our landlord allows animals but again we did not even mention we want to adopt this animal we just want hold it. I couldn't even say we had previously adopted a kitten at this exactly location months earlier. It seems like the man we were talking to was more interested about get home & locking up the shelter then giving us a few mins to hold a kitten. I like to think of myself has a very calm person but this experience absolutely upsets me. Like I said before I don't understand what we did wrong. I don't like to be a threatening person but because of this experience I will never adopt another animal from this shelter again. At least I was able to adopt one healthy beautiful playful kitten before I lost all my faith in the county's animal shelters
