Bad deal

I had brakes and rotors done 11-08. By 5-09 I was hearing grinding front right. I took the car back to Brooks..they say their work is fine. Then they tell me I need new calipers, brake pads and the rotors are scratched. I consulted with 3 other mechanics who, without exception, said the pads were either not installed properly and/or the caliper pins were over tightened causing them to break. Brooks will not fix the problem, it will now cast me additional money to have the work done and any damage repaired.Gary Brooks told me this is not a safety issue, I could wait 2-3 years before getting it repaired. The other mechanics cmpletely disagreed with his statement. My receipt for the 11-08 service disappeared from my glove box...I called and requested a copy and a copy of their recommendations. They are refusing to provide that to me and are requiring me to speak with the owner. ~ I spoke with James and Gary on several occasions on 6-3-09 when they were looking at my car...a bad experience with both. They like to raise their voices and talk over their customer. Not impressed. Will not return.
