I have never written a review for anything before, but I felt that after my recent experience it was my civic duty to do so for the first time. Where to begin? In my opinion food quality is the most important...

Silver Dragon offers a friendly environment with great food. We dine-in and order to-go and have always had good service. The portions are quite large and satisfying!

Silver Dragon in Battle Ground is one of my favorite restaurants. They make the BEST crab puffs around. They offer a special lunch buffet Monday through Friday at a great price.

Silver Dragon is the only "traditional" Chinese restaurant in Battleground, WA, and the lack of competition shows. Silver Dragon is located in a shabby-without-the-chic building on the South side of West Main St. Ambience is not it's strong point, and heavy on hand-me-down 70's truck stop decor. If the food were good, this might be an option for take-out, but you'd have better luck in your grocer's freezer section. Although the selection is average for this type of establishment, the taste and presentation leave a lot to be desired. My quick lunch menu consisted of hot tea, hot and sour soup, and kung pao chicken. The tea tasted stale and muddy, which can't be explained by bad water, because the ice water tasted fine. The hot and sour soup was served with a side of saltine crackers. The soup was neither hot (usually provided by a nice dose of white pepper) nor sour (a healthy splash of rice wine vinegar). It was overpowered by a synthetic ginger taste. The Kung Pao Chicken was a healthy sized portion. The vegetables were fresh, and the chicken, although a bit scant, was tender. Although the menu item indicated it was a "hot and spicy" dish, this Kung Pao never saw any red chili or pepper oil. It was bland. Overall, Silver Dragon of Battle Ground is a mediocre dining option best suited for those with a timid palate.
