Used to love this store. Not child, friendly!

I used to frequent this store,often,years, ago. I took my 4 year old granddaughter in to see the Halloween decorations, today. I had my purchase in hand when my granddaughter started to not feel, well & asked to use the bathroom. We were told, they weren't allowed to let us use, it. I've worked in retail, I understand but I also understand there are times, when it is necessary to break the rule, especially for a small child. There was a terrible smell, I thought it was the many candles in the back room but it was burnt popcorn, the clerk was eating. I would NOT recommend this shopping, experience to anyone & it is a shame for it used to be a really nice, gift shop. The prices were overpriced. On one item, I saw where they changed a price from $22.95, into $32.95. Turned the 2 into a 3, on a product that was probably sitting here, for a long time. I don't know what happened to this store but it sure has changed & the service was not friendly. There is even a sign on the stairs, that says, Unattended children are sold! Anywhere, else, I might think that was a bit funny but not in this place! They can forget any sale from this reviewer. Just beware, if you go there and don't take your children, inside. I don't think it is the same owners as it used to be, I sure hope not, for I would really be disappointed, that they had changed, their appreciation to their guests.

I have purchased many gifts here and was very pleased with the service and staff. They have a great variety of gifts to choose from. They carry a great selection of Beanie Babies!

Love this Little Shop! by Meredith M. at InsiderPages

This is the best place to purchase a gift, a special & unique card, or some yummy Yankee Candles! Lot's of great items to choose from! The sale area upstairs is the best! Plenty of parking!
