Business Summary  what's this?

For four star dining in Atlanta, try Flying Biscuit. Here's a place to get good food. Located in the Little Five Points neighborhood, this restaurant is very affordable. It's known for its vegetarian offerings. It's been awarded the Fodors Choice award. Know before you go: this place features a singles scene. When you step inside the restaurant, you'll notice a family atmosphere. This place features breakfast and brunch. Diners liked the midtown.

The original location of The Flying Biscuit on McLendon Avenue is nestled among funky Craftsman bungalows in the heart of Historic Candler Park, and has remained one of Atlanta's favorite spots for brunch since it opened in 1993. The Flying Biscuit Cafe recipes have endured since we opened our doors thanks to the diligence of our employees and the returns of our customers. Try one of our "favorites," like the Turkey Meatloaf & Pudge or the Vegan Burrito. And, of course, there is our famous breakfast, with dishes like Orange Flavored French Toast and omelets named after local streets, and most importantly, our mouth watering biscuits. Be sure to visit the bakery right next door, so you can pick up biscuits for the road.

Flying Biscuit - Marietta - Not recommended!

The food is unexceptional and the biscuits unappetizing. It is not "traditional" Southern no matter what people say. Their "famous" biscuits tasted of baking soda and are hard, served with only spicy apple butter. Breakfast combos are weird. The sausage they serve is chicken, and the bacon was turkey bacon. While I am sure it is healthy, it was overcooked and tasteless. They do serve grits. Their breakfast potatoes were hard and cold and the rosemary overwhelming. My turkey burger was extremely bland. The only bright spot was an OK Tomato Basil soup - fresh, but salty. From all appearances, the meatloaf or baked chicken might be the way to go if you have to eat here. We got the famous chocolate bread pudding, but unfortunately I found it to be bland, packy, and totally without character. Try Pappasito's. My final view on this place: don't go. If you need to eat breakfast, please eat at J. Christopher's, which is in the Fresh Market center. I know that there are many glowing reviews of the Flying Biscuit, but I feel that I was gypped out of my $30. Rachel Ray has recommended it, but it truly is all hype. I will not eat there again. Just compare it to places like Another Broken Egg Cafe in Destin, FL (also a small breakfast chain) which blows Flying Biscuit out of the water.
