recent office visit

I have been seeing Dr. Beasley once a year for about 3 years for a hormonal condition. His bedside manner is fine but the professionalism and attitude of his staff needs some improvement. Marci, the office manager was rude and not very helpful when concerns about billing were mentioned. I am a cash patient and was extremely overcharged for a follow up visit. I spent 5 minutes with the Dr. in order for him to give me a copy of my lab results and I was charged $160.00. My wife, who is a nurse, called to discuss the situation with the office mgr. and was treated very rudely. We have decided at this point to take further action with agencies that are available to protect patients bill of rights and fair billing practices. Even though Dr. Beasley is a pleasant man. if this is the way his cash patients are treated, I will be looking for another physician.
