I made an emergency visit to Athol Hospital at about 3 am on a Sunday morning. I didn't think I was in serious trouble. Dr. Funa did and ordered a battery of tests. He suspected a crital gallbladder issue and he was correct. By the time the surgeon arrived Monday morning, all the basic tests had been completed and I was on the appropriate medications/antibiotics in preparation for surgery. My infection was not only in the gallbladder but the liver and moving fast... Dr. Funa along with the talented surgeon, Dr. Wu, saved my life.
