While I was on vacation at the end of February 2009, I had the pleasure of eating at Yamato Ya. The California Rolls were made of the best quality of freshness and taste. The Chicken Teriyaki and the Beef Teriyaki was fabulous. If you are ever in Anchorage, and like Japanese Food, check it out. The service was also fabulous and friendly.

The Best Sashimi

I have been dining at Yamato Ya since my sister introduced it to me in 1987. I have tried other sushi bars but nothing compares to Yami's. It is the best, friendliest Japanese sushi bar in Anchorage.

Oishii!

Their Chirashi (Sashimi on top of bowl of sushi rice) was absolutely wonderful! My friend who is also Japanese said the same. It was not only taste good, look good also. Great job! I hope the chef who made my Chirashi last time is still there today. I am going to eat it again! Join me!
